When the Vasudhara or Earth Star Chakra Is Flowing: Signs of Being Earthed
Written by Dr Priya Vallabh and Susan Clark
Part 3 of a 4-part series on the Earth Star
In the last post, we spent time describing a blocked Vasudhara Chakra — the alien-ness, the ideas that never quite come to manifest, the sense of the world as hostile or incomprehensible. That is an important territory to name. It is also not somewhere we want to leave you, because the Vasudhara’s natural state is one of flow. When the Earth Star is flowing well, life takes on a very different texture. It is not that difficulty vanishes — the Earth still weathers, we still grieve, projects still fail. But the energy underneath things changes. There is a quiet current beneath the surface saying: you belong here, you are part of this, and this place is available to you as a partner rather than a stranger or a resource.
Below are four ways of experiencing a Vasudhara Chakra in flow, mirroring the four ways of experiencing blockage we described in the last post. If any of these qualities are familiar to you, that is worth noticing — another invitation to notice how your Vasudhara is flowing right now. The Vasudhara is not something we build from scratch. It is already there, already trying to open. When we notice its flow, we amplify it.
1. The felt-sense of belonging
The most immediate marker of a flowing Vasudhara (Earth Star Chakra) is a quiet, inherent sense of belonging to Earth — not the belonging you earn by fitting in or performing well, but the older, deeper belonging of just being here, as an Earthling.
It can feel like:
A felt-sense that you are an Earthling — that your place here does not need to be justified or earned;
A strong sense of being anchored in your body and in place … the body as home, not as something you are renting or resisting;
An ease with settling into new environments — new houses, new cities, new landscapes greet you rather than resist you;
A sense of being humanly-divine and divinely-human — your divine and human experiences of self held as one thing, rather than split into two conflicting things.
A flowing Vasudhara Chakra does not need proof of belonging. It carries belonging as its foundation.
2. When our ideas come to manifestation
The Vasudhara (Earth Star Chakra) is the manifestation engine — the point at which the raw potential of Earth becomes available to us for making things. When it is flowing well, ideas do not have to be forced into being. They arrive, unfold, and land through a kind of natural alignment with what the moment is offering.
The pattern shows up as:
An ability to bring ideas into tangible form — a natural movement to finish and close projects, and see things through to completion;
A capacity to flow from a vision or an ideal into an actual, practical pathway towards its manifestation;
An intuitive sense of the flow of energy and its corresponding timing — knowing when to act, when to pause, when to redirect;
Ease with returning energy into the collective flow — releasing, ending, recycling — so that nothing you carry stays stagnant.
Manifestation stops feeling like a battle. It becomes something closer to weather-reading — sensing what the moment is offering, and moving with it rather than against it.
3. When the world starts to make sense
When the Vasudhara (Earth Star Chakra) is open, we stop feeling like a lone figure trying to navigate a mysterious planet. Instead, we can feel ourselves as part of a larger flow — a bigger system of consciousness and energy in which we are one participant among many.
This often shows up as:
An awareness that you are part of a larger flow of consciousness and a larger system of energy — not the whole of it, and not separate from it either;
Ease in forming contextual relationships — with the specific place you live, the specific community you are among, the specific piece of land you walk on;
An intuitive flow with the natural rhythms and cycles of the Earth, and a sense of wellbeing when you allow your own rhythms to reflect them.
The world does not become simple. It becomes legible. There is a coherence available to you that a blocked Vasudhara Chakra cannot quite access.
4. Alignment and contextual thinking
The subtlest sign of a flowing Vasudhara (or Earth Star Chakra) is a worldview shift back co-creative relationship with Earth. Where blockage produces binary thinking and extraction, flow produces a very different orientation.
It shows up as:
Working with conditions rather than against them — even when the work is transforming or redirecting the flow, you are collaborating with it rather than fighting it;
A clear sense that you are part of what you are experiencing — a co-creator of it — even when the experience is one you do not like or would want to change;
Contextual, possibility-oriented thinking — asking "under what conditions might this become possible?", rather than sorting the world into "possible" and "impossible";
Relating to Earth as a system of consciousness to align within, rather than a resource to strip.
This is where the Vasudhara Chakra becomes something more than personal. A well-flowing Earth Star does not just make your own life feel richer. It changes the way you meet the world — and the way the world meets you back.
A note before we move on
If some of this felt familiar and some of it felt distant, that is entirely normal. Most of us live in a mix. There are days the Vasudhara Chakra is wide open and life feels legible and abundant, and days it narrows and the old alien-ness returns. That oscillation is not failure. It is natural. And it is trainable.
In the next and final post of this series, we will offer some practices — small, sensory, everyday — for tending the flow. For softening the blockages when they arise. For remembering, in the body, what it feels like to be an Earthling in full receipt of the energies of this place.
For now, if any of the descriptions above felt like a place you have visited, or a place you would like to know more of, that recognition is already the start of the return. The Vasudhara is already there. It is waiting to be noticed.
